Damn, it has been like a month since I posted. So what have I been up to, I have been working every weekend this month, (like that is a lot or something) the last event was the Liquidation Station Sale. (Which was well.. TAKE A GUESS *cough*Crap*cough*)

Tuesday was my company Christmas party and for the entertainment we did five reality show events: The Apprentice, Fear Factor, American Idol, Last Comic Standing and Survivor. I only was involved in the Fear Factor challenge, which contained eaten Tripe and raw stupid mixed with jello which I won.

Besides that I haven't done much else, I did buy the new DVD King Arthur (very cool movie, but a *Warning* about the xbox game demo it will update your Xbox Live. You have been Warned.)

I have a few options for what to do tomorrow, I will fill you in on which I pick probably on Sunday

Good Luck Hearing This In Real Life

You can dress me up diamonds

You can dress me up in dirt

You can throw me like a line-man

I like it better when it hurts

I was listening to launch and heard Ashlee Simpson's new song La La (that is where that little statement up there comes from) and I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I can just imagine a girl saying that in real life to some guy (LoL, not really likely though). The whole song pretty much is filled with the same kind of little statements.

Well since we are on the subject of people who wouldn't be singers without using their connections. I heard
Lindsey Lohan's debut album Speak (courtesy of The Leak on Mtv.com). The album well sucked, it sounds more like a demo tape then a debut CD. It just sounded rough and untrained (which is a bad thing unless your in a rock band) and well bland. Are record labels even trying to sell music anymore or is it all about who is hot and will bring in the most money for them in the fastest time (PLEASE!, don't buy crap just because it is from so and so, it only encourages them to put out more crap).

One more thing, on the way to work a few days ago I hear a radio ad for
Britney Spear's new perfume Curious. (OMFG, it sounds like she is have a nervous freaking break down, how is that going to make a person want to buy that stuff.)

Well, I have been working the WIAA High School Football Semi-Finals and Finals for the past two weeks. I really couldn't believe how much alcohol was around being a high school event (I have seen less drunk people at a regular concert or maybe they can just handle they booze better, Who knows). Last night was the local radio station KISS 106.1 's Christmas times concert called Jingle Bell Bash 7. I swear every teenager in the city was there. I only heard a part of it as I made my way to the office, Ryan Cabrera was singing (another poor victim of a bad sound check, he sounded like a 12 year old boy who just hit puberty). But besides that I haven't been doing much of anything.

National Treasure (2004)

Rating: 7/10

Nicholas Cage stars as Ben Gates, who is in search of a huge treasure hidden by the founding fathers. The search cause him to steal the Declaration of Independence not only for the map hidden on the back, but also to keep it out of the wrong hands. The trail of clues then brings him to the Liberty Bell and finally to a New York church.

If you like Indiana Jones and the Da Vinci Code style of adventure (which I do), then you will like this movie. I wouldnt call this a great movie, but it does have a decent plot (although it did have what I call a "false ending" where the movie seems to becoming to an end only to some "stupid" event happen and prolongs the movie.) and there were no major holes that I saw. So if you got some free time go see it.

A quick word on the Mark Chesnutt Concert. There was A FREAKING LOT OF PEOPLE! I am guessing everyone who missed Toby Keith came to this concert.

So I have a whole week off until I have to work the WIAA High School State Football Semifinals on the 26 and 27, so I decided to go to the movies and see National Treasure (it is a good movie).

So If I have anything else major happen I will update this place on it.

Ugh, I had to get up at 5 am and go to work and and do nothing for like 6 hours. I then went and bought another Dan Brown book called Angels & Demons which is a prequel to The Da Vinci Code (hope it is good).

Ever want to help someone, but you just dont know what if anything you can do. Well that is what I have been going through lately, I just hope I can deal with whatever the outcome is and still be sane.

How Do You Like Me Know? Word Up

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 1:53:00 PM

0

Well, Well, I am back from my three days of work and other crap (YAY! For me).

Friday: I worked the Pacific NW National Sports/Coin Collectors Convention which means about eight hours of doing pretty much nothing exciting.

After work I got a call from a friend talking about he was going to get a divorce. I of course asked why he gave me some lame excuse about the house being dirty and it wasn't right (the truth is he is being pissy because he is 23 and married with a kid). So I told him to get over it and hung up the phone. About an hour later I get another call and again he says he is getting a divorce (no, I am not kidding). Apparently they got in an argument and she asked him why he married her and he responded by saying "because I knocked you up" (I don't care if the person demands the truth, there are some things you just don't tell people). So after that response she kicked him out (good for her I thought) and after dealing with his bitching for months now, I told him to go for it. We ended up spending a few hours hanging out and him bitching about his wife and talking about the past (sheesh move on DAMN IT!).

Saturday: I worked the Sports Card/Coin show again in the morning and then the Toby Keith concert at night. It was the usual country concert crowd.

After work and group of us were out to the bar and hung out for awhile and SURPRISE I got a phone call it was my friend calling to tell me that they worked it out and were staying together (I really cant believe this bullshit, so I decided instead of giving their son a college fund I will start a mental health fund. Because he is probably going to need some serious help or at least some money to move out as soon as possible. It is amazing how people always talk about "violence" cycles, but no one ever talks about how other things can also be a bad cycle even the way you parent to how you treat food and the way you act with/treat other people.)

Sunday: Once again I work the sports card/coin show and yes again boring as watching paint dry. Well a few people called in sick, so the crew was a little small ( I am starting to fell like I am stuck in the old In Living Color skit "The Hardest Working Jamaican Family" because we are all doing like five different jobs at one time). But, besides that the Korn concert went great, I even meet Sir Mix-a-Lot (cool guy) and I also finally got to talk with a certain person I haven't been able to talk to all weekend. I did get to bed about 4 this morning and I am not going to do anything all day.

The Screen Savers Is Being Screwed Up(Warning this is about a show on G4Techtv, if you dont know about it you may want to skip this post)

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 8:34:00 PM

1

Oops, I mean The Screen Savers is being "revamped" (ha ha sure). In turn with the revamping Alex Albrecht, Dan "Foo" Huard, Yoshi and many behind the scenes people were fired. The new "revamped" show will air after thanksgiving break (hmm, we will see). Here are some snippets from a few of people on TSS:

Kevin Rose: I know you all have tons of questions, and I don’t know much at this point. I’ve been told there are going to be more darktips, and that the show will still have a tech focus. Read his full post here

Sarah Lane: We're busy regrouping, reorganizing, and relaunching, folks. Today we lost some great, great people in the latest phase of our ongoing evolution. This is the reality of the biz, and it never gets any easier. Read her full post here

Alex Albrecht: The Screen Savers as you know it is GONE! We were rounded up today at 11am and told to be out of the office at 3pm... very smooth... Read his full post here

Yoshi: I will post more on it later, when I am in a calmer state.

But yes I have been fired. (that was pretty much all he posted)

that is about it, rumors have it that TSS could be merged with another G4techtv show. I guess will we all wait and see (Bullshit).

To everyone who was fired I have no doubt you will find better work, where the bosses respect you. Thanks for everything.

I Am Such A Blog Traffic Whore

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 8:21:00 PM

Well a little while back I registered at Blogexplosion so this place would get more hits. Why, because for a minute I was a :

"Blog Traffic Whore" -- which is described as a person who does everything and anything just to get traffic to a specific site even if the site is crap.

After each day of seeing more traffic come from Blogexplosion and none of it staying longer then a second. I began to feel that this blog was becoming cheap and a waste of space (no comments about how you think it is, so in advance SHUT THE HELL UP!) I would rather get one or two hits from people who will read the site then forty or fifty hits from people just driving by. So I have deleted my blog from Blogexplosion, but if you want to get some traffic I would suggest it.

I did go out and buy some new clothes, new work boots and even a book (WOW, yes I read, SHEESH I can even count too ) called The Da Vinci Code writing by Dan Brown. Went and saw the movie Taxi, (make sure you stay for the outtakes at the end) besides that I have not done much.

Stupid Decisions Made By Local School Districts

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 12:21:00 PM

2

The Puyallup School District has decided to ban all Halloween costumes and parties from its 31 schools this year. The District said that parties took away from learning time and the costumes could offend people who practice the Wiccan religion, you can read the full article here.

Are they serious, next thing you know they will wall up the windows because the outside world is taking away from "The Learning Time", how about you get better textbooks, get rid of the drug problems and the bullies or stop getting rid of school programs to cut money. I mean seriously have you every seen any work place that didn't throw a social event once or twice during work hours. I seriously doubt it, why because relaxed workers are more productive then stressed out one. So why do we expect our children not to need the same.

Now stop freaking worrying about offending people, everything can offend someone if you look and try hard enough. Better get rid of all the holidays, stop serving meat, no more computers, destroy all pictures, books, music and NO MORE SCHOOL MASCOTS! Because it will offends other schools.

If this trend keeps on I think will are going to fuck up our kids. Because children are being told 2 totally different ways to do things in life. The first being that you should be I workaholic robot without emotion or distraction, the second being that you should be over emotional and take everything personal.

Here is a little experiment to try: throw stick and then tell your dog to fetch and then sit at the same time (IT AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN, so again why would you expect children to do the same.)

Whats Cracking?

Well I have been working my ass off. Between The Fall RV Show, The Chamber of Commerce Expo 2004, Joyce Meyer Ministries and The Holiday food and gift show I have worked 17 days most of them being 10 hour days with only 2 days off in between. Ok enough whining, yeah I have been busy but it isn't like I had anything or anyone for that matter that I needed to do (any volunteers). I now have a week and a half off due to an event being cancelled, but I have a few things I need to do so I won't totally be bored. The events were the usually load up the cars, listen to people bitch and moan and drink lots of Starbucks to stay awake. Although I do have 1 stupid story that came from work. A man threaten to sue the Dome because his wife drove their car too far into a parking spot and hit the curb, cracking the plastic skirt under the bumper. His reasoning was it is the dome fault because the way the curb was shaped ( I think he just needed to yell and blame someone, besides his wife. LOL)

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to the Fall RV Show brought to you by O'Loughlin Trade Shows. Now with that said, I really don't understand the draw this show has with people. You pay to park and then pay again to enter the dome, so you can spend money to buy an RV (I don't freaking get it). The week had it usual parade of annoyed people and bitchy old people (SHIT, STUFF DOES NOT STILL COST ONLY A QUARTER!). But, besides that it was the same old boring stuff.

Just glad it is over.

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, Work Is Where I Had To Go

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 8:15:00 PM

Yep, I have been working the past three days. The 11th Annual IWASIL celebration of Native American song & dance and Auntie Amy's RUBBER stamp show were at the Dome. The Pow-Wow looked cool and had some good food, but I was surprised at the lack of people who came to the show. Although the low show of people I still ended up working a 14 hour day on Tuesday (UGH!).

On a different note, my little sister called me on Saturday to tell that she is 6 feet tall and she is only 15 (ummm, Damn). I haven't seen her in a year, so finding that out was a total shock. The only advice I could give her was "Watch Your Head" and "Don't Fall Down".

Death Of Common Sense (Repost)

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 10:47:00 PM

4

I posted this a while back, but I thought I should repost it again.

The Death Of Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by the name of Common Sense who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in Bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are In charge).

His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still know him pass this on; if not, join the majority and do nothing.

Well, between helping my friends move, work and other things I haven't been able to make a post until today (sorry Vadergrrl, guess I'm just a bad boy). So lets play catch up shall we.

Last Tuesday:

I got the new Xbox game: FABLE,it is a very cool game. (you can good or evil, punt chickens, steal, shoot lightening, chop off a person's head and even get married and have sex. Well the sex scene is just a black screen with a very scripted sounding female voice / bad fake moaning. So for a few people it will be just like the real thing, ha ha BURN!) Into between playing Fable I washed clothes and watched some TV.

Wednesday/Thursday:

I spent most of these two days just helping my friends move to their new place. But I did catch the Season Premiere of Smallville on Wednesday. (I seriously felt like I was watching the second episode of the season instead of the first episode, I know it takes place three months after the finale, but a whole bunch of major stuff happened and everyone is just acting like it is just a another boring day.)

Friday:

I worked at the Dome from about 9:30 am until 6 pm selling parking permits for the Tacoma Dome Antique & Collectibles Show and it was payday too, so at lunch I hopped on the Link and went to my Bank and stood in line for 45 minutes. (PLEASE! Don't wait until lunch time to cash your eight Social Security checks that you have been saving all at once, some of us have to get back to our job.)

Saturday/Sunday:

um.... Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, Work ,Work, Work, Work and more Work.

Monday:

Helped my friends unpack their stuff and played with my Godson.

Well that should bring you up to speed (as if most of you care, anyway)

My Temperament Sorter Result

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 4:28:00 AM

0

Learned about this form Cali's Blog.

Artisans are the temperament with a natural ability to excel in any of the arts, not only the fine arts such as painting and sculpting, or the performing arts such as music, theater, and dance, but also the athletic, military, political, mechanical, and industrial arts, as well as the "art of the deal" in business.

Artisans are most at home in the real world of solid objects that can be made and manipulated, and of real-life events that can be experienced in the here and now. Artisans have exceptionally keen senses, and love working with their hands. They seem right at home with tools, instruments, and vehicles of all kinds, and their actions are usually aimed at getting them where they want to go, and as quickly as possible. Thus Artisans will strike off boldly down roads that others might consider risky or impossible, doing whatever it takes, rules or no rules, to accomplish their goals. This devil-may-care attitude also gives the Artisans a winning way with people, and they are often irresistibly charming with family, friends, and co-workers.

Artisans want to be where the action is; they seek out adventure and show a constant hunger for pleasure and stimulation. They believe that variety is the spice of life, and that doing things that aren't fun or exciting is a waste of time. Artisans are impulsive, adaptable, competitive, and believe the next throw of the dice will be the lucky one. They can also be generous to a fault, always ready to share with their friends from the bounty of life. Above all, Artisans need to be free to do what they wish, when they wish. They resist being tied or bound or confined or obligated; they would rather not wait, or save, or store, or live for tomorrow. In the Artisan view, today must be enjoyed, for tomorrow never comes.

Artisans make up between 15 to 20 percent of the population, which is good, because they create much of the beauty, grace, fun, and excitement the rest of us enjoy in life.

The Four types of Artisans are:

Promoters (ESTP) | Composers (ISFP) | Crafters (ISTP) | Performers (ESFP)

Which one are you? (Post your results in the comment section, if you would like)

I started work around noon, due to the fact that we had to set up all the lots. I also had to take my Flagger Card Test (Hell Yeah, got a 94%). The day went pretty well, it was just long (although I swear I have never seen so many Wanna-be gangbangers and posers since I was in middle school). I got off about 11 at night came home and passed out.

Well, I bought a cheap (of course it is cheap by tech standards which means it still cost something) little digital camera from OfficeMax and it seems to be working good so far (but the voice in the back of my mind keeps repeating the motto "who got screwed, you got screwed", guess I will have to wait and see).

So now on to the site update. Since I have a camera I decided to get an account with TextAmerica, (yeah, I know it is usually used for camera phone pic) so I can post the pics using their service which can be reached by clicking on the pic under the label camera pics (Duh, it sure wouldnt be under my mood label) in the section on the right.

It Is My Birthday

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 1:59:00 AM

4

Today is my Birthday. I had to work an overnight shift last night, so I got off work at about 9 am went over to a friend's house and hang out until about 3. I came home watched so TV and went on the computer for a little bit. At about 5:30ish I took a shower and changed into some clean clothes, a group of us (Shirley, Shannon, Rhi, Jacob and me, of course) went out to Anthony's at Point Defiance. We had a lot of fun there (you should definitely go if you are around here) and then went to Starbucks and hang out there for a while. I also talk to my mom and sister for a bit. But, I would have to say that the phone call I got from Kate (she is only a really good friend, extremely beautiful yes, but still only a friend) in Texas was one of the best parts of the night.

On another note, I have to work my last overnight shift for the RV Show tomorrow night. (Woo-Hoo)

John Kerry, Cometh

Well, John Kerry came to the Dome today and since security was so tight, (ha, ha, that's what they want you to think) the other three events: Great American RV Sale, Sports/coin collectors convention and Louiefest were all but shut down. So I got to spend eight hours (hell yeah, can you say overtime) guarding the press/VIP parking lot with a couple of the special service agents. I would have to say the funniest part of the day was watching the Kerry volunteers act like a bunch of teenager girl groupies every time any political person came in the lot. (Sheesh, they are just regular people)

The Not So Fast But Still Furious

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 12:34:00 PM

Did the usually stuff when I got to work and then heading up to the RV lot and was surprised when the guard pulled up in one of the RV show's electric cart and said that I was able to use it for the night, weather he was lying or not I used it anyway. The cart made patrolling the lot faster and easier. Around 3 a.m. as I was patrolling the lot, I heard some cars honking on the freeway next to the lot only to see that a car was going the wrong way. (Damn, talk about being a good example for not drinking and driving.) It was pretty quiet for the rest of my shift except for the rain.

Overnight Guard For The RV Show, Take II

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 11:00:00 AM

2

Got to work around 11:30 pm, talked to the 24 hour guard a little bit then headed outside. It seems Mr. Confused finally figured out how to get to the lot and still no shed (it doesn't show up either, so don't expect any guess appearances in any up coming posts). The night wasn't all that bad, it didn't rain and it wasn't cold. I decided to grab a chair from one of the lower lots and read a newspaper in between when I was patrolling the lot.

The Land Of The Lost

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 11:00:00 AM

0

I got up around 5 pm, made something to eat and started to get ready for work. ( Oh boy!) Around 8, I got a call from the 24 hour security guard at the Dome asking if I could come in early. Apparently the guy who was suppose to come in, got confused and went to Meydenbauer. (go fig) I got there about 9, pick up my work stuff and headed out, when I get up to the lot I'm shocked to see that there is no shed to protect me from the cold and rain. So for most the night I played hide and go seek with the rain. (yeah it won)

One down, three to go.

Got back to her place about 6 am, I crashed on the floor until about 10 am. I left there about 1:30 and came home, watched some TV until about 10 pm and then hopped on the computer. I am totally freaking tired but since I have to work four straight overnights starting tomorrow night ( I’m not about to go to sleep and screw up my internal clock now).

I will try to make a post here and there when I can, although I promise nothing because my schedule for about the next three weeks is :

4 overnights, 2 days off, 3 day shifts, 3 overnights, 2 days off, 1 overnight, 1 day off (My Birthday), 1 overnight, 2 days off and finally 3 day shifts. (I doubt my sleep patterns will ever go back to normal after this.)

While I was on what the RE_INVIGORATE crew (you know who you are) would call a "Next Blog Trip" (referring to using the Blogger Navbar's next blog button to randomly travel from one site to the next.) I came across a kick-ass site called Questionable Content, which has a really great comic strip. You should definitely check it out.

Blogger's New Navbar

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 11:28:00 PM

So, I brought up my blog and at the top I see this bar going across the top and I'm like WTF? Logged into Blogger and found out the bar is their new Navbar which comes in 4 different colors and has a few other good features ( the next blog button can be really interesting ). I also found out that it appears on all freely-hosted Blog*Spot blogs and can't be deleted and can only be disabled for users that publish via FTP ( though I did find a way to stop it from appearing, if you want to know leave a way for me to contact you in the comment section ). But for the most part I think it is a good addition from blogger.

Edit: My method for making the Blogger Navbar disappear has only been tested on the Blogger provided templates.

Got up around 10 and went to the Dome and picked up my paycheck and got my times for the next two weeks (Woo-Hoo! A week and a half of overnight shifts guarding the Great American RV Sale, Guess its better then no work at all.) I had lunch with a couple friends and then had to go and run a couple of errands. I got home and watched The Screen Savers on G4techtv (first of all, can we please come up with a better name for a TV channel and second I can't wait for the new TSS from L.A. to air on September 7th. Yes, I know I sound like a total geek). I than had dinner and got on the computer and here I am writing this entry in my blog.

Woo-hoo, Time to Play

So Friday, our little group of people (if you don't know who, then you should read some past posts) went out and had some drinks and play some pool for a little while. We then went back to Charles and Gerri's place and played video games until about 7 in the morning, then we watched Malibu's Most Wanted funny movie (of course I had been up for over 24 hours so maybe it wasn't) and played some more video games. I got home around 11 am and crashed, I got up about 4 and went to Tacoma Boys and picked up some food for dinner. Went back over to Chuck's and hang out until about 2 am, came home and went to bed, and I don't plan on doing anything today.

Scary Google Hack

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 7:51:00 PM

I just learned from visiting KevinRose.com that it seems Google has added number span searching to their search engine. You are now able search for something not just by name but price range, but if used the wrong way any person could use the engine to search a span of numbers to find credit card numbers. (Kevin has an example on his site). Just thought everyone should know, and that you could be just one google search away from ID theft. (Scary thought, huh?)

The Bourne Supremacy (2004)(Movie Review)

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 7:08:00 PM

In the sequel to The Bourne Identity (2002), we find Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) and his girlfriend, Marie (Franka Potente), have been hiding in Goa, India. Bourne still unsure of who he really is has about a half a dozen passports, and is still haunted by nightmares of his past, Bourne uses his skills to keep them off the radar so his former colleagues won‘t be able to find them. But their stay in Goa comes to an end when Bourne spots a stranger (Karl Urban) whose look basically screams "assassin," at least to Bourne. In the ensuing chase, Marie is killed and Bourne resolves to discover who ordered the hit and deal with them accordingly. Meanwhile across the globe, in Berlin, a covert operation run by senior CIA agent Pamela Landy (Joan Allen) goes wrong, two agents are killed and several million in U.S. government funds have been stolen. A fingerprint is the only evidence found at the scene, which leads Landy to a CIA database connected to project Treadstone. Her security clearance doesn't come close to giving her access to the Treadstone files, but she refuses to stop until she finds out what information they hold. Landy's investigation involves the theft of $20 million in CIA funds, and pursuing the rumor that a CIA insider is the culprit and that Russian oil tycoon Gretkov (Karel Roden) was in someway involved. She learns Treadstone was a super-secret black op closes down shortly after rogue Jason Bourne quit following orders and started thinking for himself. The fingerprint turns out to belong to Bourne, and an international game of cat and mouse starts. Landy recruits Bourne's old contact, Nicky (Julia Stiles) and CIA brass Ward Abbott (Brian Cox) to trap Bourne, who is after the mysterious assassin that killed Marie and the people responsible for setting him up. The chase for the truth takes Bourne through Asia and Europe with the action converging in Berlin where he confronts Abbott about his past and in Russia where in a over the top car chase he deals with the assassin and then find and apologizes to the daughter of a couple he killed in his past. In the finally scenes of the movie Bourne is told by Landy what his real name is. (Can you say THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM?)

(I said it once and I will said it again, FICA Sucks!). I stop by my bank and then went to the Lakewood Towne Center and saw The Bourne Supremacy (great movie, check out my review of it). Since I hadn't eaten yet I decided to go to Safeway and buy some Chinese food, after doing that I came home.

Mystical and rain-soaked, you remain mysterious to many people, and this makes you intriguing. You also like a good night at the pub, though many are just as worried that you will blow up the pub as drink your beverage of choice. You're good with words, remarkably lucky, and know and enjoy at least fifteen ways of eating a potato. You really don't like snakes.

Burn, Baby, Burn

I worked yesterday at the dome from 7:30 am to about 5 pm. During the day we had an event called Chrome at the Dome which was held in the C lot of the parking lot (I thought it was going to be a lot bigger then it was). It got a large amount of people when it started, but they didn't stay very long and traffic died off soon after that. In the afternoon we had an event called the US Army Soldier Show - Heart of a Soldier (It was free for anyone to see). So working wise the day wasn't too bad, what made it hell was the damn unstoppable heat that made it feel like I was in an oven for the whole day (I just know I got burn). So after I got off work I came home and passed out.

I went to MSN and Yahoo, then did a search on the word "search" and the first thing that came up was Google (see even they know Google is better, LOL). So I then went to Google and did the same thing I did on the other sites and the first thing that came up was Search.com (which totally makes sense). I just think the first part is extremely funny.

What I Have Been Up 2

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 4:10:00 AM

I spent the weekend at Chuck and Gerri's place. We spent the whole day Saturday just sitting around and doing nothing. Sunday, we went out to a Dodge dealership in Enumclaw and waited around for about three hours (a lot of people + heat + free stuff = rude and pushy people) to get Kasey Kahne's autograph. After we got our autograph we went back to their place and watched the movie Eurotrip (unrated) on Comcast's ON DEMAND channel (Great movie by the way). Monday, I pretty much just sat around and did nothing.

Blogger's New Release

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 10:02:00 PM

I leave for the weekend and Blogger goes and releases a new version of their post editor. It has a compose mode which lets you control the text with the help of feature buttons (which are only available on certain browser). I tried it using Mozilla's Firefox and found it to be a little too bug infested to use at this point, so I will be using the HTML mode for post (besides I need to learn how to use HTML more anyway).

If you are interested in known what went into making this new version check out Massless's blog.

I Own 2250 Shares Of My Blog

While reading another blog I find out about a site called BlogShares which is

"a simulated, fantasy stock market for weblogs where players invest fictional money to buy stocks and bonds in an artificial economy where attention is the commodity and weblogs are the companies. Anyone can play BlogShares for free, and ownership of a blog is not a requirement to participate. You need simply to register to receive a virtual $500 to start investing."

So I type in Dozer98444 and this is what came up:

So I did what anyone would do, I signed up and bought as much stock as possible of my blog. You should do the same.

It Isn't Just An E-mail Account, It's A Gmail Account!

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 9:43:00 PM

I know I'm like the last people on the internet to post about Gmail. I just don't see the big freaking deal about it (maybe the fact I was one of the first people to get one has something to do with it), I do recognize the fact that because of the 1GB of space Gmail gives that Yahoo and others had to finally increase the space they give. So anyway, I have 5 Invites burning a hole in my account. All you need to do to get it is leave your initials and email address in the comment section, the first 5 get one.

Update: 0 Left, I hope everyone who got a Gmail account, enjoys it. If I get anymore I will make another post to give them away.

Being Haunted By Ghosts From The Past

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 12:46:00 AM

0

Earlier today I ran up to Walgreens to buy some soda and a few other little things. While I was there I ran into a friend from a few years ago, so we started talking and then she asked If I knew how my ex was doing (lets just clear something up, no one wants or likes to answer questions or talk about their ex). I said no with a slight attitude, shortly after that we said bye and I went on my way. Well for some reason I started having flashbacks of my ex (not the mushy romantic kind of flashbacks, I'm talking about the kind of flashbacks soldiers have when they get back from war). When I got home I jumped on the computer and checked my e-mail, while listening to KUBE 93.3 FM, I heard a song by Avril Lavigne called My Happy Ending and my first thought was why couldn't this song have come out when I was with my ex. It is a great song and it is dead on with how I felt, so I went to MTV and watched the video for the song a couple of times. The flashbacks are gone and I actually feel better for dealing with it.
