Hello, Where Is Everyone?

Today I work the Asian Pacific American Community Summit and there was suppose to be a large amount of people and we would be have to be there all day. Well it didn't turn out that way and we left after 4 hours (Oh well, I can get some needed sleep.)

I have to do an overnight tomorrow night and then I am done with that (I was suppose to do three total nights, but I gave my last two overnights to a co-worker.)

On A Personal Note: Why do people assume just because someone works in a parking lot, they are uneducated and anti-social, most of the people I work with are in college and are very smart and nice people.

I hate stupid people so much. I don't mean like stupid from a lack of common sense, (although that is annoying) I mean stupid as in Head up Your Ass stupid.

Ugh!

Which Mythological Form Are You?

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 11:20:00 PM

vamp
You are Form 9, Vampire: The Undying.

"And The Vampire was all that remained on
the blood drowned creation. She attempted to
regrow life from the dead. But as she was
about to give the breath of life, she was
consumed in the flame of The Phoenix and the
cycle began again."

Some examples of the Vampire Form are Hades (Greek)
and Isis (Egyptian).

The Vampire is associated with the concept of
death, the number 9, and the element of fire.

Her sign is the eclipsed moon.

As a member of Form 9, you are a very realistic
individual. You may be a little idealistic,
but you are very grounded and down to earth.
You realize that not everything lasts, but you
savor every minute of the good times. While
you may sometimes find yourself lonely, you
have strong ties with people that will never be
broken. Vampires are the best friends to have
because they are sensible.

Just got done doing three days of overnights for the Great American RV. I seriously never realized how important sleep is to being able to perform simple task (walking, talking, thinking, etc.) I also didn't know a lack of sleep can make you extremely paranoid (now I do). Lucky I had my cell phone, which has games on it. (I finally learned how to play backgammon.) I even learned a few stupid facts.

1. Birds that live under bright lights can't tell time, as in flying around and chirping like it is morning time at 2:00 am.

2. It gets the coldest right by the sun comes up.

3. The sun starts coming up at 3:30 (as in when the sky starts changing color.)

I do get a day off, and then I have to work Saturday morning and then do the overnight thing again starting Sunday night (ugh). Being memorial day weekend, they decided to have two guards for the overnight shift. I don't know if it’s good or bad guess I will have to wait and see. Well I better get some sleep.

Take Me Out With The Crowd

Went to another Rainiers game with Charles, Gerri and their son Bailey (his very first baseball game ever!) They were playing the Royals again, but this time the Rainiers won 4-0. (They actually shut them out.) I also found out that Ben Davis is able to hit the ball and run (It shocked me). My case against Weathermen gained another example as the weather forecast was totally off. (Unless, can you get a sunburn from rain? I didn't think so.) I just have to ask this question again, "where the hell are the parents?" I mean seriously how or why you would let your child run around in public like Tarzan on crack. It is just totally and completely beyond me why anyone would do that.

In other news, I will be doing some overnights for The Great American RV Sale. So I don't think I will be able to post anything for a couple of days.

Yeah I Work

Today I worked an event called the Gaither Homecoming Concert, basically it’s a Christian music concert. I worked in premium parking today which is pretty easy. I just scan their special premium parking ticket and point them to a spot. Since The Great American RV Sale was in the parking lot where premium usually was it did cause a little confusion.

I ended up helping dump out the lots. (Really all I had to worry about was the premium parking.) So about 10:20 people started to leave and I was trying directing traffic out of the lot. But due to the mobs of people for the next ten minutes it was a pretty worthless attempt. I did however get people to stop walking across for a short period to let some cars out. (It is amazing how I was able to get a large amount of people to stop and yet every time I would get one person who would just keep walking.) After all that I signed out and came home. Well after being home for about an hour I get a phone from the dome asking if I could do an overnight because the person who was supposes to do it never showed up. But, I had to say no. (I mean come on, I was just there an hour ago.)

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 2:17:00 AM

My friend Chuck and I went to a baseball game today. Watched the Tacoma Rainiers play the Omaha Royals. The final score was 10 to 7, Omaha. I blame Ben Davis mostly for this because he was up to bat four times and didn't get a single hit. But, the final straw was at the bottom of the ninth with bases loaded he strikes out. Omaha had 2 errors (seem like more) and the Rainiers didn't even use it to their advantage. I have to give a special shout-out to Jose Lopez (or as I call him J. Lo.) for knocking a ball so hard it cracked an advertisement sign.

On A Personal Note: The only two things worse then a stupid drunk are teenagers who think they can play better then the baseball players and little kids running around and climbing all over the place.(where the hell are their parents?) And after the game, there was a great firework display.

NEVER, EVER, EVER!

I just can't take that commercial for Leptoprin another minute without say something. I mean come on "When is a diet drug worth 153 dollars" is like asking "When is it ok to spend a million on something stupid?" The answer is and will always be NEVER! I mean spend the money on something a little more solid (gym membership, clothes or something). Well now that I have said my peace, I feel like a weight has been lifted. (and it didn't cost me 153 dollars, lol)

Try And Stop Me From Getting What I Want

Well since the RIAA and everybody under the sun will sue your ass for downloading illegal (free) music from the net. I have found a great program that lets you record music off internet radio. It's called BOOMBox Internet Radio Player. You will first need WinAmp, then start up Winamp and Boombox Internet Radio Player and pick a category from the list, click the refresh radio list button and select a station and start recording. Just a small warning, this will remind you a lot of recording songs off the radio (i.e. songs getting cut off, commercials, etc.) I would recommend getting a music editor.

The Perfect Job For A Liar

Is a weatherman.

Why you ask. Because the plain and simple truth is a weatherman can be totally wrong and it’s ok. I mean how many jobs are there that you could totally blow it, and then the next day come to work and everything is fine. I'm not saying they do it on purpose. (A weatherman does only talk about, not control the weather) I just wonder if any of them have thought about just making up a weather report ( serious they would have about a 50/50 chance of getting it right) and then blame a sudden weather change, if it didn't work as they said.

But anyway.

Death of Common Sense

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 12:21:00 AM

0

I read this on another Blog and just had to share it.

The death of common sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by the name of Common Sense who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in Bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are Incharge).

His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still know him pass this on; if not, join the majority and do nothing.

I decided to update the look of the site AGAIN! I picked a new template: Thisaway Blue, I thought it gave the site a cleaner look. I did have to (Mod) it a little though; I added a link section and increased the date font from 10 px to 12 px. After a little work I merged the Blogger comment link and the Haloscan Trackback so it would be more organized. I have switched from Haloscan to Blogger for comments, but will still use Haloscan for Trackback. I will also still use Html Gear for the guest book and Sitemeter for my site meter. I am still looking and thinking about things and ways to improve the site. So if anyone has any ideas, drop me a line.

The first time I saw it I was like WTF, you are kidding me right? I just really hope it is a way for KISW to try and get people's attention and not a real example of unnecessary censorship.

Work: The Aftermath

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 8:18:00 PM

Got to work about 6 and I was off by 10:30. It wasn't too bad, the first part of the morning we loaded the Goodwill Breakfast. I got a few people who were annoyed with how we were parking them, but of course that isn't really a shock. Then we took about a half hour break. (This can only happen to me) As I was walking back to the parking lot from my break I looked up to the roof of the Ramada Inn and to my surprise I see a sniper (they are there due to the fact of High Ranking Government Officials were going to be there) tracking me with his scope as I walk down the street. I was just hoping he didn’t have an itchy trigger finger. So we set-up the lots for the Memorial load-in and the Goodwill Breakfast dump. It went totally smooth not one problem. Since it was going so well we pick up our cones and ropes and went home early. I got home around noon; I took a quick nap and spent the rest of the day so far playing X-box. Anyway I have tomorrow off and work Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Work

Well, I'm working tomorrow starting at 6 am, which means I'll be getting up about 4. Tomorrow will be kind of a different kind of work day, as we won't have any cashiers taking money for parking for the two events which are The Goodwill Annual Awards Breakfast and The Memorial Service For Tacoma Police Officer Jim Lewis So we will be there to make sure traffic gets in and out as smoothly as possible. I am really hoping everything goes nice and easy, as I think these people have gone through enough without having to deal with traffic problems at the memorial service.
