One Of The Greatest Rants Probably Ever! (At Least In The Top Ten)

An open letter from one angry man to a local Crackhead, who sawed off and stole the top of his sparkplugs on his motorcycle.

Ugh! I went to the Tacoma Dome/Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center Christmas party, which was more like a party for the head guys to pat each other on the back then a multi-faculty Christmas party (Blah, blah, yes you are all the shit). It had everything you would expect to be at some rich business party (Waiters, Rich people food and full dinner place settings.) I stayed long enough to eat; talked to some people from work; found out I didn't win anything in the raffle and then I bailed. Maybe next year I should wear a suit and tie so I can fit in.

Any freaking way,

I am finally done with all the high school events for this month. Well that pretty much covers how it went (also known as slow, boring, cold and annoying). The only good part of the night was after work a couple of us went to The Strap and stayed until the place closed.

Wednesday is the Tacoma Dome Christmas party being held at the new Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center. Lastly, I have to work the Mega-Liquidation sale at the end of the week. This show is slow and most the stuff is either broke, ghetto or sold out in like three seconds. the only good thing is it is the last event of the year (YAY!!)

RUN AWAY SNOW!!!!!

My Favorite statement of the week "It is snowing like it is winter", (Umm... isn't it winter?)

For about the last month I have been addicted to Magic Online and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, so it is good that there isn't much going on at work (but it also means the paycheck sucks).
Thanksgiving was quiet, just chilled at home. I almost did the Black Friday early morning shopping spree to grab a cheap laptop, but at the last minute I came to my senses (Wow, I am glad I did.)

Last week and this week is High School football, which isn't totally a bad thing it is basically the fact that of the people who come to these event are the *cough*"Cool"*cough* people who think that they are the greatest thing in life and think everyone needs to know that.

Anyway,

Yes, I know it has been a little while (oh come on your not really surprised). So since I posted lasted I have worked two country concerts, a gemfaire and a baseball card/coin show. The first concert was a Firefighters Concert (you know, they call and ask for money and in return you get tickets to this) starring Joe Diffie ( Don't worry I got no idea who he is either). The worst part is this event always brings out the dumbest people ( I am not kidding, I was standing in front of the Tacoma Dome and someone asked me where it was).

Then there is the Gem Faire whose customer base is a cross between Cheap Hippies and Housewives (who all think I care about their thoughts on parking prices and how evil it is to be charging them. Of course the fact that I at sitting in a booth outside with no heat or power seems to totally elude their common sense, which should be alerting them to the fact of I CAN"T DO SHIT ABOUT ANY PRICE THEY HAVE TO PAY).

Next up was the Rascal Flatts concert (can anyone explain the extra T to me?) , who fan base seems to be a bunch of beer taste tester with self important issue (Because the "I'm too sexy for my 4x4" crowd was pretty much drunk before, during and after). Lucky me, though I work in the Premium Parking so I get to listen to everyone try to stuck their way in for free (Story of the Night: Chick drives in and tries to pretend she just lost her parking pass, after pretty much shutting her down she then tries to fake turning around and she parks and starts walking away from her car. I just simply grab my cell and said "I'm going to have you towed", she ran to her car so fast I couldn't help but laugh. As she left she called me an asshole and flipped me off. HOW RUDE!)

Finally there was the Baseball card/Coin show. The way these people act you would think they were carrying millions of dollars in merchandise (just a little tip: The 90's called they want their hobby back). Honestly, barely anyone shows up for this show so there isnt much to say about.

So now you are all caught up!!

The Holiday Food and Gift Show

My long week of working the Dome is finally over. My week started by selling parking passes to the vendors for the first two days. (Which always results in whining and moans about how they just spent 3,000 dollars on their little 8x8 booth square and they shouldn't pay for parking). The next five days were spent outside in the lot setting up the parking lots, parking cars, taking money from customers (man, it is so hard to be nice and polite to complete assholes and self-rightous people) and training new employees. (This job is basically everything your parents told you not to do: Don't play in traffic, don't talk to strangers, don't play in the rain and etc., etc., etc.). The show in general has been better in previous years. (Better food, more booths, more customers and certainly nicer vendors.) Sunday was the worst day, evryone is tired and it seemed like every customer was pissed about something. (Price of parking, ticket price, parking availablity and the weather; fucking rain). It was the last day though, so you can't complain to much.

Ugh, I have survived a week of the RV Show, it wouldn't be bad except that the customer base is made up of two types of people. The first type are old white men drives their diesel truck/Cadillac (basic gas hogs) coming to buy a over priced item and then bitches about 6 dollar parking (Can you explain the logic in that). The second type are the people who assume that anyone who works in a parking lot can't count, so they need to tell you how much they are giving you and how much chance you need to give them. (sheesh, because I didn't learn basic math in the SECOND GRADE!) Of course then there is the people who actually work the show. (They all think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread, but in reality they is just one step above a used car sells man.)

So I got about four days off and I got no idea what I will be doing either.

I will keep you up to date.

SOOOO....Traveling Sucks!!!!!!

So I have been back for about a little over a week now and I thought I should catch ya up.

The first half of my plane ride wasn't to bad, except for being smash by being in a seat to small. (Can anyone explain to me how most of America can be overweight, yet everything seems to be made to fit short, skinny people.) So my plane lands in Houston during the time when everyone is trying to leave because of Hurricane Rita. The Plane was packed and the ride went on for FUCKING EVER! There was a movie and some t.v. show playing but you had to buy their $1 pair of headphones for 5, so I didn't get to hear what was going on. I got in about 11:15, came home and passed out.

I have worked for most the time I have been back spend three days working an Antique show and last Monday I worked a Green Day concert, all was pretty quiet though.

The Creepy Factor

Ok, maybe I am the only one who finds this creepy. I was reading a magazine and I got to a pictorial of a woman (I think it was Kelly Monaco, who may I say is HOT!). I noticed she had no nipples, they had been airbrushed away (It just looks freaky, because with the clothes she is wearing you should see nipples not just skin).

So what is the point in taking pics of women in these clothes if you are just going to airbrush away anything that shows through?? Seeing what is under the clothes is kind of the point isn't it?

Hurricane Katrina: Natural Disaster or The Best Rated Reality Show

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 4:40:00 AM

For the people who went through the hell of Hurricane Katrina, it was a major disaster. For the television networks, you would think that it was some reality show or even a television mini-series of the week. I don't know how many times I heard a reporter ask, "Do you see any dead bodies ?" with an almost giddy undertone to their voice. Let us not forget the "On-Location" reporters who were roaming around talking to people, showing videos of looting and boating around the area reporting on the hardships, yet not once did I see them stop and comfort or even give a little something. Of course, then there was the great aftermath clips of 911 phone calls, helicopter footage and the cries of people in search of missing people (Do we really need to hear a 911 recording of a little kid about to drown in his attic, I THINK NOT!) that the networks played non-stop. The only thing worse are the celebrities (surrounded by camera, of course) running down there and screaming about how they are outraged about the disaster and how angry they are about how it was handled wrong (but. yet I don't see any of their giving the evacuees anything but some face time.)

Wait, I can't rant without dropping a note about the people who helped make most of this stuff possible (drum roll please) : The Politicians, whose lack of attention have caused this horrible event to go on longer and become worse then it had too. (also giving other people / Politicians the ammo they needed to attack with statements of racism and other shit, instead of just working to fix it.)

But that is just my view of things.

Forever And A Day

Damn, it has been forever since I last posted here and somethings have changed. First, I am making this post on a Dial-up connect (I HATE DIAL UP!!!) from a village (smaller then a town, to the point that the mail is only delivered to the post office and not house to house.) in Nebraska. Which population equals about 1100 and I can't get a cell phone signal, unless I go to the next town over which is like 5 miles away. So you wonder why and how I got here huh? (Well even if you don't I am still telling you so Boo-Ya!!!)

The Beginning:
So lets Rewind to the beginning week of August. I took off a week from work so I could spend time with Sara for the time she was visiting (And I did spend time with her if you know what I mean), but at the end of the week she got sick (By sick I mean Ambulance ride and 6 hour hospital stay and to top it off, security tried to toss me out for being a "Bum".) and I wasn't about to let her go cross-country alone. I tried calling my job at the bank, but no one answer and I left a message. Around two hours later they called me and said I had to come in because I didn't give enough warning. So I quit (the job was wearing on my nerves anyway) and then packed some stuff and hopped on a greyhound bus to Texas (On my way there I called my mom and found out she was having some medical problems so I decided to visit her in Nebraska after my stay in Texas).

The Bus Ride (Also known as Highway To Hell):
Two days of being trapped on a tin can packed full (at one point they actually had people standing in the aisle because they over sold the bus) of idiots who thought their seat could fully recline, angry people who thought they should get to sit alone , people trying to steal your seat if you leave it empty during a stop, bus drivers who think they are better then you and bathrooms that some how never get cleaned during any of the stop to clean it. But the scariest thing was at the last stop we meet this guy who almost had his computer (really nice computer) stolen by a greyhound employee and was a little too open which certain facts of his life (like being gangbanged by five guys and stabbed at an airport down south.)

So Texas was pretty quiet. Sara started College (I so Proud!!) and I hopped on a greyhound bus (For the last time ever, God willing) and came to Nebraska for about two weeks. I will be taking a plane back to Washington (I hope it goes better then the bus ride.)

So in the matter of a week both my computer and my Mp3 Player have gone one step closer to being trash. I bought a Gateway Computer a few years back little did I know what I had done, because Gateway are not meant to be upgraded (Hell I doubt they are even meant to be open, the inside of it this thing is a horrible design for airflow or easy upgrades). I upgraded to a new hard drive and more memory (I may fill in the whole story on that ordeal soon) and the machine has become a unstable whining jerky machine from HELL! So I decided to build my own machine here in abit and dump this one.

My MP3 player in between the constant crashes and extremely touchy control is a good device, until of course the audio jack decided to start shorting out. If the audio jack dies totally it will then just be a overprice 5GB Drive (I am so writing THEM a fucking letter, UGH!)

Anyway that is what I have been up too (Bet your glad you ain't me).

Ugh, I have been working and working at the bank (speaking about the bank here is my advice on banking at USBank, only do it if you will never need your money right away, need help or have any questions. Otherwise I would recommend a different bank.) and I have even worked somw events at the dome like graduation (got sunburned and had to miss a weekend at the movies), but the I also got to work the Kenny Chesney Concert last Saturday. I worked premium parking (meaning I sat around and scan people's prepaid parking ticket SWEET!) and didn't really have any real problems with anyone except the stupid people who didn't understand the concept of "PRE" Paid Parking. (but I did make friends with some tailgaters and scored a shitload of alcohol, mainly beer and TEQUILA!) After work I came home and crashed hard.

A Dozer's Quick Movie Review : Mr. & Mrs. Smith

A good action movie that you can get into, except for two basic points....

1. The first part of the movie's whole boring suburb husband and wife, who really know nothing about each other just goes on way too long. It easily could have been a five minute backdrop for the credits and then the jump off for the whole movie but instead it is a major chuck of the film (The chemistry between Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie is so strong, the "No Chemistry" storyline just feels off.)

2. Over previewed due to way too much infomation giving in the trailers (But I feel a lot of movie suffer from trailers giving either way too much or too little info and of course the evil "Deleted Scenes" trailer.) I just got to a certain point and the I honestly think I could of left the movie and would not of missed anything, because a little common sense and paying attention pretty much laid it all out for me.

So besides the storyline direction conflict (Drama --No Wait-- Action) and Over Trailer leakage. It is a good action flick, besides it has two out of the three standards for a guy movie Guns: Check, Hot Chick: Check, Enough Said.

A Long Time Ago In A Far Away Galaxy...

Yep I went and saw Star Wars III: Revenge Of The Sith (also known as The Movie You Feel Like You Already Saw.) Honestly though unless you are a total Star Wars freak, you will probably just be spending the first 30 minutes or so waiting for the real point of seeing the movie "A Man becoming Darth Vader". Although the way it happens you really want to stand up and scream "WTF, Quit Being A Dumbass!". It does fill in the story holes and ties the whole Saga together nicely. (You will also probably have the urge to go rent the original trilogy afterwards).

I also saw
The Longest Yard , it was a pretty good movie even though some of the jokes got played out pretty quick (too bad the writers didn't notice that a guy acting like a chick is funny for only so long) and others fell completely flat right, but the team and comedy of Chris Rock and Adam Sandler help this film to be something worth watch.

So about a month ago I did a post that said I was back. Well... every night I sit down and just can't seem to get a post up on the site and the site just seems a little lacking in inspiration material.

And to that I have decided to "re-do" the site what exactly does that mean I don't honestly know (not like the two people who read this care at all), but when I started this site I had an idea to have this place be a site for me to post my ideas, rants and stuff that interested me and not a bunch of "site updates, what I ate and some daily quiz from some site post." and besides I want to redo some of the links and other sections as some of it is stale.

Damn, it has been like two months since my last post, but unlike last time I have been busy. I got a full-time job doing security at US Bank and I still work at the Tacoma Dome. So I have been a little busy working, sleeping and learning more ways how some people are just whacked.

But now that I have adjusted to everything changing I am back (insert evil genius laugh or bad joke Here). Hmmm, anymore updates... Oh yeah, I bought a Creative Zen Micro; I know Apple's ipod is "the cool and hip MP3 player", and it has its own online store which only it can use (unless you know a way around it)but come on no radio on an MP3 player is just dumb and one of the reasons I didn't buy one.

Well I can't think of anything else so I'm out

The World Is Not Enough

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 11:03:00 PM

I have had this song stuck in my head for the past week, but in a good way.

THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH
By: Garbage

I know how to hurt
I know how to kill
I know what to show
And what to conceal
I know when to talk
And I know when to touch
No one ever died from wanting too much

The world is not enough
But it is such a perfect place to start, my love
And if you’re strong enough
Together we can take the world apart, my love

People like us
Know how to survive
There’s no point in living
If you can’t feel the life
We know when to kiss
And we know when to kill
If we can’t have it all
Then nobody will

The world is not enough
But it is such a perfect place to start, my love
And if you’re strong enough
Together we can take the world apart, my love

I...i feel sick
I...i feel scared
I...i feel ready
And yet unprepared

The world is not enough
But it is such a perfect place to start, my love
And if you’re strong enough
Together we can take the world apart, my love

The world is not enough
The world is not enough

A Weekend Full Of Stuff

*FRIDAY AND SATURDAY*

I had to work Friday and Saturday for Acquire the Fire and Asia Pacific New Year Celebration. It was the usually stuff, "6.00 Blah , Blah , Blah" and "I was told I don't have to pay, BLAH , BLAH , BLAH". Of course the 5:45 AM Saturday morning call time wasn't exactly great either but I got off at about 12:30 so it was all good.

*On A Side Note*

I wonder if the teens that go to Acquire The Fire realize how bad it looks to act one way inside the event and then act the totally opposite way when you leave the event. (Small hint, sitting on people's parked cars, talking shit to person and being unruly isn't a good image to send to the world.)

When I got off work Saturday I went up to K-mart bought a present for my godson's first birthday party. He got a whole lot of presents, his favorite was his Power wheel and he is only one! I was going to crash there and watch the Super Bowl on Sunday but I decided to change my plans.

*SUPER BOWL SUNDAY*

I sat around at home until around 2 then I went up to The Strap and hang out with some guys I know. The game was pretty good, although the Half-time Show and the Commercials were pretty lame (I mean come on Paul McCartney, he just screams OVER SAFE! and if you click on Commercials you can view all of the boring things). but the entertainment of the night is divided between the wife of one of the guys who lost 500 bucks in a bet (it was suppose to be a thousand but she made him lower it, she still had a total breakdown when he lost it) and the group of drunks next to us. Afterwards I came home and crashed.

*Monday*

(Yeah, Yeah I know the Title says weekend but it's my post and blog so HA!)

I sat around watching movies, burned through the Matrix Trilogy (good movies, bad ending),Shaun of the dead (Funny movie) and Runaway Jury.

Well there is the update,

Ugh, People Are Whacked! Or Maybe They Need To Be Whacked!

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 7:36:00 PM

Well, I have finally finished working my 10 straight days of work (YAY, overtime). I have worked a weekend of the Antiques and Collectible show then a full 7 days of the Home and Garden Show (although two of the days were selling parking permit which is pretty easy).

Of course, I had to deal with the exhibitors bitching and cussing over the price of parking, apparently the concept that the dome and the parking lot are two different businesses is a difficult one for some (just think of it as I mall, owning a store in one part of the mall doesn't mean you get free food from the food court now does it).

There is also a syndrome that seems to be getting worse known as "Lemmings" syndrome, which is a case of one car following the car in front of it even if it is going the wrong way and ignoring all signs and other stuff until it can no longer go any farther. So my plan to deal with this is to dig a giant hole in the middle of the lot. I think that will solve a lot of problem including the problem of the lots filling (MWUAHAHAHAHAHA!)

Yesterday was my first day off and I felt totally off, empty even (could I be growing up and shit, who knows). But anyway I am gone.

Monster Trucks And Wedding Dresses

Posted by Xyiko | | Posted on 9:55:00 PM

I had to work Monster Jam and the Wedding Expo. It was a hellish weekend between the cold, the dual ticket prices (Smaller event have a lower parking price) and of course the 15 hour work days. But the worst part was the end of the night when we had to dump the cars out of the lot (all drunk people believe they can be a monster truck driver).

Oh well I survived, on Friday I start my 10 day straight work week so I doubt I will be able to post. anything after friday for a while.

I'm out of here,

I just finish working the Tacoma RV Show yesterday and I am tired (Hell, between the usual customer bullshit and the exhibitors who are pissed, I am wore out). It was cold and icy pretty much the whole time (of course, I slipped and bashed my knee so I was gimping around the whole time), it was suppose to snow but I didnt see any (just another example that weather people are in general are NO FREAKING HELP).
