Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Its Off To Work I Go...

I worked all last week, now I know it isn't a big deal for a person to work a week of 8 hour shifts. Well, it is really several reason why it is making this a big deal.

One reason is because my work schedule is pretty up in the air, I will either be working 5 days, 9 days or 20+ days in the month of August and it is driving me crazy.

Another big reason is because I have been working the 4 - midnight shift, which means I am getting there when either everyone is gone or leaving and so for the whole shift it is just me and the camera monitors which can drive anyone insane.

So I have started bringing my Nintendo DS and the game: Brain Age. which I most use for the game Sudoku, which I play for basically hours after I have done all my rounds. It is the only game I can really play and watch the monitors that the same time.

In a bit of disappointing news, I no longer have to worry about being the "Go To Guy" for my boss, because last week she got fired. For no reason then being in the crossfire of the big boys upstairs fighting with each other. Of course the worst part is it was has been in the plan since three months ago but they used her until they could find a replacement. Welcome to the business world, PSH!

I Really Don't Want To Be The Go To Guy...

(Music - Lying From You - Linkin Park)

So, My job called me up yesterday and wanted to know if I could go train to work at another job site for like two days in August (Yes, I said two days) because a bunch of people jumped ship because my company is losing the contracted in September.

Now I usually wouldn't be against it, for the fact is I understand my work needs the help sometimes. But, I have already did the helping thing for my company and as far as I am concerned it bite me square in the ass.

A month ago, they asked if I would be willing to train and work in a different position since I wouldn't be needed in the position I was in for about two months. So I went in and trained and they made it sound like I was going to be getting all these hours, then I get my schedule and I am only working 9 days (9 FUCKING DAYS!) the whole month. If they had told me that I would have been like no thank you and been done with it but too little, too late for that now I guess.

Of course, it gets even better because they hire another person at the same time as me, but they gave her hours (must be nice to be a friend of the supervisor's daughter) by having her do the weekend shift. Well her the first weekend she was suppose to work she didn't show (didn't get fired might I add) and I got called in to help. The second weekend she work she got someone to cover for half her shift the first day and did work the second day, which is good because I worked the graveyard that weekend and I honest thought I would be working a double. Last weekend she didn't even show up and she still has a job (WTF). So I am stuck in fill-in hell, yet this bum gets to do what she wants.

I finally get to work a full week of shift next week and was suppose to be getting 40 hours a week next month. It has also changed like three times so I doubt I will see anywhere close to that.
If being the guy my boss calls to help (Go To Guy) means being a broke and stressed out gopher then I don't want the title.
